Skills

What the Assistant knows how to do -- the built-in skills, when it uses each one, and what it may touch.

The Skills view lists what the Assistant knows how to do. A skill is a written procedure for one kind of work -- reviewing a still, covering a scene, casting a voice, explaining a field -- and the Assistant loads whichever ones your request calls for, on its own. It can use more than one at a time. For what the Assistant is and how you talk to it, see The AI Assistant.

This page is a reference, not a control panel. Skills are part of Ordinary Animator: there is nothing to create, turn on, or configure, and no button to add one.

What each entry tells you

Name What the skill is called, e.g. "Shot Design"
Stage Which stage of production it belongs to, named as the episode plan names it. A few say Any stage because they apply wherever you are standing
When it is used The sentence the Assistant itself reads when deciding whether a skill fits your request. This is the most useful line on the page: it tells you what to ask for to get that skill
What it may do What the skill is allowed to touch -- reading your project data, changing it, opening pages, inspecting ComfyUI nodes, and so on

Knowing when a skill loads is worth more than it sounds. If you want a continuity check and did not get one, the "when it is used" line tells you the words that would have brought it: ask whether something contradicts an earlier episode, rather than asking for "notes".

Agents in this project

Earlier versions let you configure agents -- named specialists with their own instructions and permissions. Skills replaced them. If this project still has agents you made back then, they appear in a section below the skills, and they still work: click one to open it for editing, or use the row menu to delete it. New agents are not created any more.

A project that never had any shows nothing here at all.
