Comfy Cloud Configuration
Setting up and managing your Comfy Cloud connection in Ordinary Animator.
Comfy Cloud is a managed GPU service that runs ComfyUI workflows without a local install. Ordinary Animator submits jobs directly to Comfy Cloud and routes results back to the correct gallery automatically.
Getting an API key
- Create an account at cloud.comfy.org.
- Go to Account -> API Keys in the Comfy Cloud dashboard.
- Click Create API Key, give it a name, and copy the key value. Store it somewhere safe -- you won't be able to see it again.
Configuring the connection
In Ordinary Animator, open ComfyUI Settings:
- Under Cloud, toggle Comfy Cloud on.
- Paste your API key into the API Key field.
- Click Test Connection.
A success response confirms the key is valid and Ordinary Animator can submit jobs.
Usage and billing
GPU seconds are billed by Comfy Cloud based on the models and workflow complexity. The ComfyUI Queue page shows GPU seconds consumed per job. Check your Comfy Cloud dashboard for billing details and usage limits.
Using cloud and local together
You can run both Comfy Cloud and local ComfyUI configured at the same time. There is no global switch: each time you run a workflow you can choose whether that job runs locally or in the cloud -- it may default one way, but you can always override it. ComfyUI Settings is only where you enable and configure each backend.
